LHS Soccer Team Helps Cancer Patients Through $1,500 Donation

The Lancaster High School soccer team recently donated $1,500 to the Fairfield Medical Cancer Resource Center to assist patients in need through the FMC Foundation Cancer Care Fund. The money was raised through the soccer team’s annual Kickin’ Cancer fundraiser on Sept. 12 at Lancaster High School.

The series consisted of eight games played by members of the Lancaster High School Girls and Boys soccer teams as well as Lancaster Jr High and Logan Middle School soccer teams.  During the games, spectators wore purple and pink tie-dyed shirts to show their support for cancer patients. More than $1,200 was raised from the sell of the shirts, as well as donations and a pink game ball raffle. The Lancaster High School Soccer Boosters contributed the difference, bringing the total to $1,500.

The Soccer Boosters would like to thank everyone that donated, purchased shirts and sponsored the teams. THANK YOU!
